Home / Blog / How to write SEO product descriptions for lingerie (with AI)
A lingerie product description has three jobs: rank for the phrases shoppers type, answer the fit questions that block purchase, and make the fabric feel real through a screen. Most listings do none. Here's the formula, with examples — and how AI drafts it at catalog scale.
Before: "Beautiful sexy lace set. High quality. Available in many sizes. Buy now!"
After: "This emerald lace bralette set combines sheer floral lace with a supportive wire-free design that holds its shape all day. The longline band sits smooth under clothes; straps adjust fully and the back closes with a three-row hook. Soft stretch lace (nylon-elastane), hand wash cold. Sizes XS–3X, true to size — see the fit guide for band measurements. Wear it as date night lingerie or layer the bralette as an everyday top."
Every fit question answered, four search phrases placed, zero keyword stuffing.
Lingerie copy sells texture: soft, stretch, sheer, smooth, structured, feather-light, buttery. Describe how fabric feels on skin and how the garment behaves — not the imagined effect on a viewer. Tasteful copy also travels better: it passes ad review, reads well in pin descriptions, and matches how Pinterest-era shoppers actually search ("comfortable lace bralette", not innuendo).
Draft at scale with AI, then human-pass for brand voice: keep one signature phrase pattern, verify fabric facts against the actual product, and delete any sentence that could describe any garment ("elevate your collection"). The AI does structure and coverage; you do truth and voice.
Open with the primary keyword naturally, answer fit and feel questions (support, sizing, fabric), list details scannably, and close with occasion phrases that place long-tail keywords. Keep every description unique per SKU.
Style + fabric + occasion combinations shoppers actually type: 'lace bralette set', 'wire-free everyday bra', 'date night lingerie', 'plus size lace set'. Mine Pinterest and Google autocomplete for phrasing.
Yes — AI drafts structured, keyworded copy at catalog scale. Human-verify fabric facts and fit claims, and edit for brand voice so listings don't read generic.
